He tried to poison his son of just one year and two months by giving him loose pills in the bottle and then, perhaps realizing what had happened, he tried to kill himself, cutting his veins.

The crazy episode took place this afternoon in an apartment on the third floor of the building in Via Amati 25 in Venaria Reale, where the 118 health workers intervened, the carabinieri of the radio company nucleus and the fire brigade.

The child was rushed to the Regina Margherita hospital. His condition, which initially appeared severe, actually improved immediately and he is now admitted to the pediatric ward. He never lost consciousness.

His mother, a 42-year-old Italian woman, at the Molinette hospital in Turin. She was treated by the psychiatric services of the area for a severe form of depression, and the child was rescued by her ex-husband, who then called for help.
