The complaint was launched by the environmental association "Sea friend", which attributes the causes to bad weather, but above all to tourist overcrowding. The Sicilian site, a candidate to become heritage Unesco, is attacked every summer by hundreds of thousands of tourists, who unknowingly damage the same rocky wall that shows signs of abating.
