The teachers’ union’s administration will approve Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s proposal tomorrow (Thursday) to enable immediate return to distance learning during the Corona epidemic.

Last night, a meeting was attended by the Director General of the Prime Minister Ronen Peretz, the Director General of the Finance Ministry, Shai Babad, the Director General of the Ministry of Education, Shmuel Abubav, the Director of Salary Kobi Bar Nathan and the Secretary-General of the Teachers’ Federation Yaffe Ben David.

After hours of discussion, it was agreed that the Teachers’ Union management would approve the outline that would allow immediate return to distance learning.

Under the agreements, it is stipulated that the teaching staff, throughout the education system, from kindergarten to 10th grade in the upper division (including elementary and high schools) will receive full pay until the end of the Passover holiday.

Beginning tomorrow teaching staff will return to distance learning and during the summer only 9 days will be returned.
