a a A Is there another death toll from the Corona virus in Israel? A mystery surrounding the circumstances of the death of an elderly Haredi, 85-year-old resident of the city of Bnei Brak, was revealed (Tuesday) by Inbar Toiser in N12.

He reportedly passed away Sunday night, overnight, and could not determine whether he died of pneumonia or the corona virus. Therefore, he was examined after death.

According to the hospital, the examination was sent via courier to the Assaf doctor’s lab, but when the results did not return two days later, the family members refused to carry on their father’s body, and on the hospital’s recommendation it was decided to bury him as a “Corona patient” in accordance with the Ministry of Health’s instructions.

So far, it is not yet known what caused his death, and what happened to the corona examination of that adult Haredi. Did she ever reach her destination?

A close relative told N12: “Yesterday (Monday) we were told that his corona test results were positive, and then informed us that we had lost the test. We buried him as a corona patient and it makes no sense to leave us hanging in the air, not knowing the cause of death.”

Dr. Mordechai Ravid, medical director at the “Matters of Salvation,” commented: “We have no deceased corona patient. An 85-year-old man was admitted to our hospital and, until his burial, had difficulty obtaining answers from corona examinations on time. Send a check and she didn’t return, so we told family members They have no point in waiting and it is better to bury it according to the Corona’s procedures so that no one will be infected.

“Today every patient who comes with pneumonia is first suspected of Corona and take a test. From the moment the doctor started doing tests, we get answers within 6 hours, so that is a huge improvement over what was before. When we passed the doctor the test did not find it.

“We have indications that it was sent and it appears on the envoy’s lists that came out of us and on record in the Doctor’s Meeting.”

On the other hand, the Shamir Assaf doctor’s medical center said in response: “Our lab at our medical center started last Sunday. A thorough check we conducted showed that no patient’s name had come to us that complies with the claims of the Salvation Medical Center. Get to the point. “

The Ministry of Health did not respond.
