CASINO SELECTS SALES SLOW DOWN BUT CONFIRMS ITS OBJECTIVES IN FRANCE
PARIS (Reuters) – Casino reported Thursday a slowdown in sales growth in the third quarter, due in particular to its weak performance in France.
The distributor, engaged in a vast plan of disposals to try to reassure investors on its debt, has nevertheless confirmed its annual financial objectives for 2019 in France.
Total third-quarter revenue was 9.05 billion euros, broadly in line with analysts' expectations.
On a like-for-like basis and excluding fuel and calendar effects, sales rose 1.5% after growth of 2.3% in the second quarter.
