Tesla is serious about its production plans in Germany: after the announcement of the last few days some more details on the investment arrive. The last project of the family Gigafactory Chinese state: a Shanghai Tesla set up a production site whose work began last January and which became operational in just eight months of work. already organized to try to offer a production rate in the order of 3 thousand Model 3 per week by the end of this year.

And now Tesla also attacks Germany. The company's decision to confirm Berlin as the headquarters of Gigafactory was greeted with optimism on the market, as Tesla shares closed on 12 November, when the company CEO Elon Musk confirmed the news.

Now details emerge on various aspects, from the entity of the investment envisaged by Tesla and on the number of cars that the plant will be able to produce in a year, when the plant will operate at full capacity. Meanwhile, note the precise location of the plant, or the German federal state of the Brandenburg, in the municipality of Grnheide located south-east of Berlin, as reported by Der Tagesspiegel.

Tesla's latest Gigafactory will be built on a 300-hectare site directly at the exit Freienbrink of the Berlin ring road. The plant will also be near the station Fangschleuse on the R1 line connecting Berlin and Frankfurt, and producing at full capacity 150 thousand vehicles per year, just like Gigafactory 3.

According to the German press, Tesla plans to invest about 4 billion euros in the construction of the plant that will be fully operational by 2021. The company will initially employ 3 thousand employees in the factory, but this number may go up to 8 thousand units when Gigafactory 4 will be fully operational.

The works should start early next year with Tesla, which hopes to get funding for 300 million euros to start building the plant. Dietmar Woidke, minister president of Brandenburg, confirmed that the chancellery of his state will create a new task force to facilitate the operations of the American company, fulfilling a personal promise to Elon Musk himself.
