3:25 pm The demonstrators are already leaving. Strange atmosphere …

Only the cegetistes remain around their fire.

The yellow vests that had taken place in the procession move towards the prefecture.

3:20 pm Marie-Guite Dufay, President of the Burgundy Region Franche-Comte: "It is in the union that the employees will be strong, I hope that this disunion will only be temporary … I hope so much. something that looks like a compromise from which there will be another negotiation. If we do not go in this direction, we return to the starting point with a PSE (plan for safeguarding employment, Ed) very very brutal, I understand that it is difficult to cash and that we must stop an action, especially since it is thanks to the CGT and the occupation of the factory that there has been progress. "

3:10 pm The CGT (a thousand protesters) joined the picket line, the cry of "Belfortaines, Belfortains, welcome to our home. The site is ours until Monday morning!"

The rest of the procession (about 2000 protesters) arrives in calm.

"Why are you coming?" launches a former trade unionist when the official parade arrives.

14 55 hrs. In the official procession, in the rain, the atmosphere is no longer at the rendezvous. The songs even stopped.

There is hardly a sound that sets the pace … But this is the CGT, a few hundred meters further ahead!

The official procession slows down so as not to catch up with that of the CGT.

Francis (in yellow) and Pierre, an employee of GE Power Services, demonstrate in solidarity employees. "But it's sad to see unity and broken union, it's the management that has to laugh."

2:35 pm Damien Meslot, Mayor of Belfort, after the speeches of the Inter and the departure of the CGT: "It's a shame, I hope that they will be able to solidify again. they can win. "

2:30 pm The CGT begins its parade. She takes another route, via the street of Mulhouse, to join the picket of General Electric, door of the Discovery.

While the CGT left his side, Philippe Petitcolin finishes: "It is false, nothing is signed. It is the employees who will decide Monday morning at 10:30 if we enter or not in negotiations".

2:20 pm The CGT seeks to cover the voice of Philippe Petitcolin (CGC).

Petitcolin answers: "Please, we are in a democracy, everyone has the right to speak!"

2:20 pm Clash: just after the intervention of Caritey, the CGT leaves the rally! Under the hooting of the crowd …

2:15 pm The inter-union speaks on the steps of the House of the people, to "cut short some rumors".

Cyril Caritey, on behalf of the CGT, takes the floor first. "The friends on strike are proud that the Inter has saved 300 jobs," he says.

"We are fighting against capital," he adds. "Hear not the anger, but the determination of the workers".

"CFE / CGC and SUD have signed and we are disappointed …" Many whistles are rising.

"Monday, if we get back to work, we'll fight a fight, we'll leave nothing to the management," says Cyril Caritey.

2:10 pm Jean-Luc Melenchon has just arrived.

The President of France Insoumise had called to protest, in a tweet.

2:10 pm This time (contrary to the demo of June), it is not the elected officials who will open the procession: the employees of General Electric will parade first. Politicians will follow, then the citizens.

2:05 pm Philippe Petitcolin, representative of the CFE-CGC, is in turn treated as "sold" by a member of the CGT. The atmosphere is decidedly very tense …

2 pm While demonstrators flock to the Place de la Resistance, Damien Meslot, Mayor (LR) of Belfort, slides aside: "Mr. Macron has made promises that have not been kept.It will be accountable at a time he and his majority. "

1:45 pm. Tense atmosphere at the House of the people, this Saturday afternoon. Francis Fontana (SUD union) is attacked by an employee on arrival. "You're happy with yourself, signed you, traitor, it's been thirty years since you betrayed the workers!"

The second major demonstration of support for employees of General Electric will start this Saturday at 14 pm from the House of the people of Belfort in a particular context.

Indeed, this Monday, October 21, all employees will be invited to comment on the new plan for safeguarding employment (PSE) of GE management.

The plan, reviewed by management under the patronage of the State Tuesday, was presented Thursday to employees at a general meeting organized by the Inter-Trade CFE / CGC-South-CGT in a tense atmosphere. The CGT has already indicated that it will not sign this new plan, regardless of the outcome of the vote of employees. This difference in point of view sounded the death knell of the inter-union.

"It's not a march against the social plane"

This Saturday, around noon, during a press conference after the days of the energy industry, Philippe Petitcolin, representative of the CFE-CGC at GE, said: "This afternoon, this is not only a step against the social plan, but also for the development of industrial sectors of future on the territory. "

"I hope that the trade union front does not crack, division is giving arguments to others," said Belfort Mayor Damien Meslot (LR).

"For the moment the inter-union still exists, but there are disagreements on the project presented by management on Thursday and will be submitted to employees on Monday," said Philippe Petitcolin and Alexis Sesmat, trade unionist SUD at General Electric.
