It’s called “WHO Health Alerts” and is the new WhatsApp service to receive updates from the World Health Organization on the Coronavirus emergency directly on your smartphone (UPDATES – THE SPECIAL). This was announced by Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s number one, owner of WhatsApp.

How does it work

To register, just click on your smartphone on this link and send a simple message with the word “hi”. At this point you can choose which information to receive: from the latest numbers, country by country, to advice on how to protect yourself. Up to the hoaxes circulating on social networks and reliable sources of information to follow (THE OFFICIAL SITES AND SOURCES TO FOLLOW).

Zuckerberg: “Many people wanted this service”

“We worked with WHO on a way to get authoritative information about Coronavirus directly on WhatsApp,” wrote Mark Zuckerberg on Friday evening on Facebook: “So many people wanted this service that even before the official announcement, the link started to circular and almost half a million people have already signed up for the service “(THE STAGES OF THE EPIDEMY – SYMBOL PHOTOS – THE “CARE ITALIA” DECREE).
