Without leaving too many rumors about what was going to happen, Motorola presented the Razr in the form closest to the concrete use that should be made of a folding screen: the display of a "traditional" smartphone that folds up and takes up less space in your pocket.
In fact, the new Razr is the first clamshell smartphone made with a flexible display that folds completely thanks to a patented hinge that Motorola called "zero-gap". Both sides of the folding screen remain flush when the phone is closed, thus protecting the screen from dust and dirt.
Motorola says that Razr was built with the use of stainless steel and that the screen is in 3D Gorilla Glass, but suppose it refers to the external touch screen from 2.7 " gOLED (Glass OLED, probably from Samsung) with which you can also interact with the phone closed.
The folding screen is instead a Flex View pOLED (ie Plastic OLED) from 6.2 "HD (2142 x 876p) with a ratio of 21: 9, which will show the contents offered by Android 9 Pie, which Motorola calls "pure", so no homemade interfaces.
The brain is one Snapdragon 710 which has 6 GB of RAM is 128 GB storage. The battery is a lean one 2510 mAh with 15 W TurboPower charging. Only one rear camera from 16 MP f1.7 stabilized with Dual Pixel AF and laser. The front chamber is one 5 MP f2.0. Everything is protected from water splashes.
The real surprise, at least to read the specifications, is that Motorola only provides an eSIM for the Razr.
The price is in fact those important: 1,599 euros with availability for pre-sale starting December 4th.
