And they are 5! The fifth seal in the championship for the girls of the Futurosa Trieste arrived Saturday, engaged at home in the challenge against the last of the class, the Rosa Pordenone System.

If the match on the card could look like a formality for the rosanero, who in this early season have shown on more than one occasion to be able to stand up to even the teams that are aiming for promotion, something else has proved itself in reality, how the host team could count for the first time on an almost complete roster with top level players, selected from the Pordenone company's nursery and Reyer Venezia.

The rosanero started out strong, and in front of the warm home crowd gathered at the Bor gym, they took a lot of action: thanks to a very intense defensive game with several balls recovered and excellent solutions in offensive phase, then realized, the girls of coach Scala manage to place immediately in a partial 8-0. Futurosa is able to continue with his rhythm while the Rosa System tries to react, but it is immediately blocked by the landlords who close the first 10 minutes on 16-7.

At the start of the second quarter the rosanero are again to dictate the game taking the 25-7, with the coach of the opposing team forced to call time out to try to change something. The break has the desired effect and, also due to a fall in Trieste, Pordenone takes confidence and slowly begins to recover the gap, until it reaches -7 at the long interval.

Once back from the locker room, Futurosa is still leading the game inertia and keeping a margin of safety on the opponents around 8-10 points: despite the shooting percentage not the best, the home team manages to maintain continuity in going to the basket, closing the area well and limiting the most dangerous enemy players.

Despite the gap between the two teams, the System Rose does not give up and succeeds on two occasions to return to -3, but Futurosa, two and a half minutes from the end, places the triple that takes away all hope from the guests, who give up for 53-44 . Thanks to this success, the Rosanero team earned two more precious points in a championship key, moving into 4th position.

"Although their position in the standings could make it seem the opposite, today's match was very tricky – said a satisfied coach Scala at the end of the challenge – we had a good game, maybe it wasn't our best and it wasn't even that good to look at (apart from the beginning) but we were good because, in addition to the final victory, we were able to concentrate on the things we work on during the week: while last year from this point of view we were struggling a lot, this year the girls have taken a step forward in this regard, both in terms of concentration and maturity, so we can only be satisfied. These two points were very important for us considering also the other teams' day: now let's go on like this, with this awareness, and we are already looking at the next match against Casarsa"
