Honda unveils the Rebel 2020

In this engine, the 4-valve double-shaft distribution (DOHC) per cylinder uses roller rockers; the intake and exhaust valves have a diameter of 26 and 21.5 mm respectively. The bore and stroke measurements are slightly super-squares, equal to 67×66.8 mm, with a compression ratio of 10.7: 1. The crankshaft timing is 180 ° and a primary balancing countershaft is positioned behind the cylinders . Between the gears of the primary and of the countershaft we find an intermediate gear that reduces the noise. the gearbox is 6-speed and the 2-in-1 exhaust is equipped with a catalytic converter.

The "skeleton" of the bike is a diamond frame made of steel tubes (which "embraces" the three-point engine) combined with an aluminum rear frame. The frame is also an aesthetic element of the bike, proof of this is the "curve" in the area behind the rider's saddle, which creates a clear separation with the fender.

The trail is 110 mm with an inclination of the steering tube equal to 28 ° and a slightly greater inclination of the fork stems, equal to 30 °. The wheelbase is 1,488 mm. The fork plates distance the stems (from 41 mm in diameter) to 230 mm from each other. Also new is the swingarm, made of 45 mm steel tubes, with adjustable shock absorbers in the preload on two positions.

The 10-spoke aluminum wheels are 16 ”and fitted with Dunlop tires, in the 130 / 90-16 front and 150 / 80-16 rear sizes. Braking is entrusted to a single front 264 mm disc, held in place by a two-piston caliper, and a 240 mm rear disc, with single-piston caliper; ABS is standard.
