Style duel
First, in terms of style, the Nissan has nothing to envy in 2008. It certainly makes it 9 cm in length – the Juke measures 4.21 m against 4.30 m Peugeot – but it takes 3 cm in width (1.80 m). A compact, compact shape and well-rounded shapes that would give Juke a more muscular look. Especially with its rear door handles concealed in the amounts and a leaking roofline, the latter is more "sporty" than the 2008 which is not afraid to proudly display its 5 doors. In the end, despite different dimensions, our two protagonists each have a strong personality, and you alone will be able to decide between them according to your tastes.

welcome aboard
In the cockpit, the Juke and the 2008 have made a serious leap forward compared to their respective predecessors. But everyone goes for their personal touch. At Nissan, the architecture is more traditional than at Peugeot where the i-Cockpit always makes the interior singular. In perceived quality, the Lion prevails, but on the personalization side, he can only bow to a Juke who knows how to dress his dashboard, his center console, its seats and its door-door of different colors (option). The touch screen, de rigueur on high levels of finish, measures 8 inches at Nissan and 10 inches at Peugeot.

Deceptive appearances
Side habitability, the 2008 leaves a priori with a little advance since it is bigger. But the match may not have won for the French, which has a wheelbase of 2.60 m ultimately smaller than the Juke that has grown his up to 2.63 m. On the other hand, the slightly more square silhouette of the Peugeot SUV should allow passengers to access the bench more easily. The trunk capacity announced by the manufacturers are close: 422 dm3 for the Juke against 434 dm3 for 2008. Figures that we will check as soon as possible during the benchings of these two novelties. Neither offers the sliding seat, which remains the prerogative of Renault Captur.
Electric for everyone
Under the hood, for now, there is no match. While the 2008 has already announced 5 engines (PureTech 100, 130 and 155 and BlueHDi 100 or 130), the Juke is available to order with a 3-cylinder 1.0 turbo gasoline 117 hp and possibly an automatic double clutch gearbox. Diesel engines will soon reinforce this small catalog. But in both cases, you can also rely on electrified versions. For the Juke, it will probably be the rechargeable hybrid engine of his close cousin Renault Captur – and why not a hybrid version "tout court"? -, while Peugeot put on all-electric with a new e-2008.
