As is known, the Government is working on the 2020 Budget Law and there are still many open questions. Among these is an amendment that proposes the reintroduction of super-amortization for companies, to be precise for business owners and arts and professions operators. By purchasing from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020, an electric or hybrid plug-in car, or otherwise having CO2 emissions of up to 60 g / km, they could enjoy 30% super-amortization.

The debate is on how the executive can find the funds to support this provision. The amendment proposes an excise duty on diesel fuel, equal to 0.13 cents per liter, which would result in an increase at the pump of 0.16 cents per liter. A fund of at least 30 million would then be created, an amount estimated to cover super-amortization.

A possible increase in excise taxes on diesel, even if small, would be included in the longer-term project which was already being discussed a few weeks ago, with the will to gradually remove the state subsidies that diesel currently enjoys .
