Cyprus emerged on Kazakhstan's turf on Thursday afternoon (1-2) in Group I as part of the seventh day of qualifying for Euro 2020 football. In the same group, Belgium can validate his ticket for the final round on Thursday night (20:45) at home against San Marino. The Red Devils need a victory for that. Belgium could have been the first qualified country if Kazakhs and Cypriots had shared the issue.

Led by the last fifteen minutes following a Yerlanov goal (34) in the first half, Cyprus found the necessary resources to reverse the trend at the end of the match. Sotiriou first equalized in the 73rd before Ioannou gave the victory to visitors six minutes from the end of regulation time.

The teammates of Standard defender Konstantinos Laifis, holder, took the opportunity to overcome their opponent of the day (7 units) in the standings and seize third place with ten points.

Belgium is first overall with 18 points. Russia (15 points) would also make a big step towards the Euro if they win at home against Scotland (6 points).
