By the end of 2022, the "Caselle Open Mall" – the multi-purpose center, also for commercial purposes, close to the "Sandro Pertini" international airport of Caselle and between the Municipalities of San Maurizio and Leini – will open its doors to the public.
To announce it, this morning at a press conference, was the managing director of the company that will carry it out, namely the "Aedes Siiq", Giuseppe Roveda.
The structure, which will be built on the famous Ata areas, will have a useful commercial area of 114 thousand square meters; 230 stores, with international brands; 83,900 square meters dedicated to retail; 18,700 square meters dedicated to entertainment for all ages (of which one operator will be National Geographic, ed); 9,400 square meters dedicated to catering in all its forms; 2 thousand square meters for services, 8 thousand parking spaces and 2,500 square meters for a supermarket.
The project can also boast the partnership with "Reggio Children", a training institution with over 30 years of experience, which operates in the world of childhood to experiment, promote and disseminate quality education. A collaboration that will give life to the "children friendly" places in the "Caselle Open Mall".
"We are convinced that the times can be completely respected – comments Roveda – even if we are aware that administrative appeals could be received in these months to block the work. At the moment there are none and the hope is that there are none also in the future. In such a way as to have paved the way for the goal of December 2022, week longer, week less, to be respected. To date we have deposited surety policies in the municipality, amounting to over 50 million euros and 4.5 million euros of urbanization charges, which add up to the 1.5 million euros already paid in. Very soon, the contracts for the services related to the services will start, including the verification that there are no weapons of war in the construction site. Meanwhile, and hand in hand, we are carrying out surface negotiations, so that the entire Open Mall is completed on schedule ". And if he thinks that the structure can be in competition, Roveda is categorical: "We must never be afraid of changes. Trade is in constant change. The first supermarket is in 1957, the first online purchase of 2000. The line, to date, affects 5.8% of the whole trade, it is only necessary to renew itself and look to the future ".
For Mayor Luca Baracco, the Open Mall is "an opportunity for re-launching throughout Caselle and beyond, with a view to sustainable development. This is one of those opportunities to be seized, without any second thoughts. The area where the Open Mall will be located is strategic: two minutes from the airport and from the Turin-Ceres railway station, which is also the subject of an important restyling. al Canavese ".
