'Thomas Wellauer was chosen because of his international experience in the insurance sector, most recently as operational director of Swiss Re, a global reinsurance group', explains the Dutch group.
The nomination of Thomas Wellauer has received the green light from the Dutch Central Bank and will be subject to the approval of the next general meeting of Aegon shareholders, scheduled for May 15, 2020.
