An accident, a theft, an accident, a theft. Thus could we summarize the evening of October 6, a 35-year-old man arrested Tuesday in Nimes for a fantastic journey on the A7 motorway, according to France Blue Drome Ardeche.

That evening, the thirty-year-old leaves Lyon with a loaned car. He takes the direction of the South and takes in his way a hitchhiker. Around 22 hours, before Tain-L'Hermitage (Drôme), this driver has an accident. End of the trip? Not at all. On the contrary, it's the beginning of a crazy ride.

Arrested, he tries to escape

Three people get off a minibus to help him. The driver takes the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the vehicle in which there are still six passengers. But quickly, he has a second accident. Goodbye the minibus. He seized a second vehicle to take the highway but a technical problem forced him to continue on foot.

In Bourg-les-Valence, he goes in search of another car to fly. This new attempt turns out to be fruitless and the man vanishes in nature. The gendarmes managed to get his hands on it Tuesday. This did not stop this thief-driver from trying to escape the premises of the Drôme Road Safety Squadron.

According to France Bleu, the man, prosecuted for seven offenses, will be tried in court Friday in Valencia. Already sentenced for drug-related cases, he was released from prison just two weeks before his wild suit.
