Facts – Justice | Tarn: Struck by her husband, the 92-year-old is dead

This is the 101st feminicide since the beginning of the year. Hospitalized in critical condition Sunday after being severely beaten by her husband, a 92-year-old woman died of her injuries.

That's what France 3 Occitanie learned on Monday at the Albi public prosecutor's office. The facts took place Sunday morning around 6 am in Réalmont, in the Tarn. It was the couple's daughter, discovering her wounded mother, who had alerted the helpers.

The firefighters, very pessimistic, had judged his state "desperate with a vital prognosis strongly engaged". The nonagenarian was beaten with fists and canes, especially on the face.

Her husband, 94, was arrested. His custody was nevertheless lifted because of his psychiatric condition, and he was placed in a suitable structure.

Justice is awaiting the results of an expert report and an investigation has been opened for intentional homicide or intentional violence resulting in death without intent to give it.
