How much will Apple's SVOD service cost? To this question, Bloomberg thinks finally have the answer: $ 9.99, when it launches in November.

A more expensive service than the competition

This price is higher than that of all competitors. The first prize of Netflix and Amazon Prime Video in the United States is set at $ 8.99, while Disney + will be launched on November 12 at a very competitive price of $ 6.99. Apple seems to want to align with the prices of its services Apple Music and Apple News + (press subscriptions).

Another particularity, three months would be offered at the first registration. Again, the offer is modeled on the strategy of Apple Music. Finally, the availability of episodes would also be different. The first three episodes of a season would be put online at once, then the following would be distributed at the rate of one per week. This would reinstall a long time in the viewing seasons, rather than bet on "binge watching" as does Netflix.

$ 6 billion investment

Apple will play big with this service which will contribute to the goal of achieving a turnover of $ 50 billion in services by next year. For this, the company has invested very significant sums: $ 1 billion in the first year and $ 6 billion in the long term. However, they seem more reasonable than those spent by Netflix: $ 14 billion for this year alone.
