Coronavirus, new restrictions: sports alone and close to home

Prohibited outdoor activities that are not close to your home, denied access to parks and gardens and stops moving to second homes on holidays and on holidays. These are some of the new restrictions contained in the ordinance just signed by the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, as an additional measure to contain the coronavirus epidemic (UPDATES – THE SPECIAL). The new directives, which add up to the previous ones, are valid from tomorrow, March 21, until March 25, the day on which the decree of March 11 expires with which the restriction on travel and the closure of commercial activities was imposed. Sports alone and close to home

Among other things, the order intervenes explicitly on the possibility or not of doing outdoor activities, one of the most controversial points of the previous directives. “It is not allowed to carry out recreational or outdoor activities”, reads the document, which then specifies how “it is allowed to carry out individual motor activities near your home, provided that you respect the distance of at least one meter from each other person” . Access to “parks, villas, play areas and public gardens” is also prohibited.

I closed the food in the stations

The new ordinance also provides for the closure of the food and drink administration stores present in railway stations and service areas. Only those located along the highways can remain open, but they can only sell take-away products to be consumed outside the premises. Bars and restaurants located in hospitals and airports are also excluded from the new squeeze, with the obligation, however, to ensure compliance with the interpersonal distance of at least one meter in any case.

The second houses

Starting from March 21st, also “any movement towards houses other than the main one, including the second houses used for holidays” is prohibited. In these cases, moving is prohibited on holidays and on holidays, as well as on those that immediately precede or follow such days.

Hope: “We need to do even more”

After signing the order, Minister Speranza explained that “it is necessary to do even more to contain the infection, guaranteeing effective social distancing is essential to combat the spread of the virus”. The health owner then reiterated that “everyone’s behavior is essential to winning the battle” of the coronavirus.
