Installing the apps on Android smartphones from today will be a little easier and more intuitive, thanks to the arrival of APKMirror. But what’s this exactly? This is the official application of the famous portal, which in recent years has played the role of collection point for many apps on the web. An essential point of reference for all sideload lovers, that is, users on Android smartphones who seek APK from third parties and then proceed with manual installation.

Now the first official APKMirror app is available, as announced by Android Police in the past few hours. APKMirror VS Google Play Store, then? Not really: APKMirror is not a digital store, like Huawei’s new AppGallery for example, but rather an installer, an application that simply provides support in manual installation. Certainly it can be used, with a little forethought, in alternative to the Google Play Store.

How APKMirror works? Once the app is installed, the latter will request access to the archive of the Android smartphone in order to control the APK downloaded manually, and therefore support the owner of the device in the installation. Currently the app is available in alpha version, so it will be further refined and perfected in the coming months.
