The great technological innovations do not end there: there is an optional audio system curated by AKG, for the first time dealing with the automotive sector. The aesthetics of the luxury SUV is quite different from that of the model we tried about a year ago, especially on the front. The light clusters now resemble those of the lower-end XT6, while the front grille remains faithful to the Escalade style. The general forms, however, remain very square and imposing. Mechanically, a new independent rear suspension system has been adopted, and should be the same found on Chevrolet’s new Tahoe and Yukon. The new interior offers even more space, thanks to an increase in the wheelbase and overall length of the car: the key figures are a 40% increase in legroom in the third row of seats and a + 68% in the boot volume (722 liters) in the model a standard length.

As expected, there will be an engine 420 liter 6.2-liter V8 petrol. In some installations it will be possible to opt, for the first time, for a diesel engine: we only know that it is a 3 liter with a torque similar to that of petrol (623 Nm), but it does not mean much. Cadillac says that the maximum power is estimated to be 277 hp, but we will know more in the coming months. In both cases the engine is coupled to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
