Koç Group added India as the last link to its global growth move. The white goods factory in Gujarat province, ‘Voltbek Home Appliances’, the product of the partnership of Tata and Arçelik, the largest group of companies in India, with 700 thousand employees in more than 100 countries, was opened with a ceremony held the previous day. I sincerely believe that our factory will be an important production center for India. ” Noel Tata, Chairman of Voltas Limited’s Board of Directors at Tata Group, said, “We launched this factory to support our desire to grow in white goods. We combine Arçelik’s technology and innovative product development capabilities, Voltas’ brand and distribution power. We aim to offer a unique and innovative product range to consumers in India. ”

Fatih Kemal Ebiçlioğlu, Koç Holding Consumer Durables Group President, said: “The size of the Indian consumer durables market is expected to reach $ 36 billion in three years. This investment is of great importance Turkey on behalf of the global competitiveness of the white goods sector, “he said. Arçelik CEO Hakan Bulgurlu said, “The factory investment we made in India is an important step in line with our strategy to make the Silk Road the Beko Road. Here, we aim to be a leading brand by reaching over 10 percent market share in 5 years. The size of the market in the refrigerator is around 12 – 13 million pieces. We expect double digit growth. We aim to export from the factory, where we will meet the needs of the Indian market in the first place, to neighboring countries in the future, to all geographies where there are similar demands, especially Asia Pacific and North Africa. ”

There are 62 production facility outside Turkey
