MODENA – As many witnesses told investigators, a 40-year-old man from Modena, of foreign descent, showed up in front of his 16-year-old daughter's school, attacking a child of the same age after having discovered, through the mobile phone, that the two had had a sexual intercourse in the previous days. The man allegedly accused the 16-year-old of having "dishonored" his daughter, telling him that he should marry her, since no one would have wanted her as a wife "because she was no longer a virgin".The Modena prosecutor has denounced the man for forced marriage, a crime hypothesis introduced by the recent 'red code', the provision approved in Parliament to combat violence against women and children. The numerous witnesses of the incident have called the carabinieri and in view of the reconstruction of the facts, the crime envisaged by the new article 558 bis of the penal code has been hypothesized.
