Interweaving fictional reconstructions, repertoire materials and illustrious testimonies – including that of the former President of the Republic and Senator for life Giorgio Napolitano, but also of Giuliano Amato, of the adopted daughter of Iotti and Togliatti Marisa Malagololi Togliatti. The story traces the human and political history of Nilde Iotti, one of the twenty women who participated in the Constituent Assembly in 1946 and the first woman to be elected President of the Chamber of Deputies, a position she will hold continuously from 1979 to 1992.
Through the interpretation of Foglietta the story follows Iotti while he takes his first steps in politics: from adherence to the Resistance to participation in the Constituent Assembly, where he put forward some important progressive instances such as the proposal to give women access to the Judiciary, to story with Togliatti (Francesco Colella) Secretary of the PCI married at the time. A great love story that can stand up to great challenges. The director of Rai fiction Eleonora Andreatta he points out: "Nilde Iotti is the story that has an importance for the present and that serves to build the future. It holds together the capacity of the public service to look at the past and the fact of being a female story, of female emancipation. Marco dell'Omo is the author of the subject, with Salvatore de Mola, Giorgianni it's the same Imbucci".
