ROME – The Democratic Party definitively against the Minister of Justice Bonafede on the statute of limitations. At Montecitorio, after a long meeting of the group, the Dems vote against the proposal by Forza Enrico Costa who asked for the urgent lane for his bill which imposes the postponement of the "brief" prescription of Bonafede, in force since January 1st 2020. Italy is alive does not take part in the vote. But it is clearly against Bonafede. But the Democratic Party's vote is not in favor of the Minister of Justice. Quite the contrary. It is completely against. Because the Democratic Party follows the line of the former Guardasigilli Orlando, now deputy secretary of the Democratic Party: o Bonafede spontaneously blocks the entry into force of the prescription, or the PD presents its own bill not only on the prescription, but also on the timing of the process . This is the so-called "procedural prescription" proposed by Repubblica on Sunday by the former Milan prosecutor Bruti Liberati. Each grade of judgment will have a fixed duration. If it is not respected a procedural prescription is triggered.

Edmondo Bruti Liberati: "No to the Bonafede reform, we need a prescription for every stage of the process"

But there's more: because the Democratic Party also intends to demand the postponement of Bonafede's prescription with an amendment in the next Milleproroghe. This is the indication coming from the group meeting in which the tones against Bonafede were very hard. In the interventions – the deputy leader of the board, the constitutionalist Ceccanti, the deputy Miceli – have criticized Bonafede who, according to them, would have played with the magistrates bringing them to his side. At the ANM congress he would have instrumentally presented the definitive abandonment of the draw system for the CSM in exchange for their support for his proposal of the prescription to be definitively blocked after the first degree.
