Yesterday evening thousands of people took part in the event organized by the "sardine" movement in Turin, in Piazza Castello. The movement was born a few weeks ago in Emilia-Romagna to express its opposition to the League of Matteo Salvini but in recent times has organized protests in various cities and attracted rather transversal consensus. According to Print yesterday in Turin there were different types of people, from those who had expressed in favor and against the TAV in Val di Susa through the left-wing voters "who did not go to the streets since the time of the girotondi", the demonstrations against the government of Silvio Berlusconi organized in 2002.

From the stage several university students spoke, but also Nicolò Pagani, a high school professor who became a small television celebrity when he abandoned the program a month ago. the legacy after winning several bets to return to teaching. On stage Pagani inaugurated an initiative that had been announced in advance, that is a spontaneous exchange of books: Pagani gave a former partisan the last book by the Turin journalist and writer Massimo Gramellini. Then the singer Alice Uli Protto played a version of partisan singing Bella Ciao closed-mouthed, "for all the victims of violence who could not speak," he explained.

The upcoming sardine events are scheduled in Forlì (12 December), Venice (13 December) and Rome (14 December).
