Also the regional department Protection of Victims of Brothers of Italy driven by Imma Vietri adheres to the campaign promoted by the national coordinator Cinzia Pellegrino for the World Day in Memory of the Road Victims scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday 17 November.
The UN General Assembly has decided to celebrate this day every third Sunday of November and to dedicate it to the people who have lost their lives, their families but also to pay tribute to the Order's Forces and to the emergency teams that daily deal with preventing road accidents and giving assistance to the tragedy that occurred.
"We want to reiterate theneed to ensure more security and making prevention, topics that are always up-to-date and on which to keep the attention high – stated Imma Vietri – Italian legislation determines specific economic resources to be used for these purposes, but most of the time municipalities use them to make cash. Moreover, recently the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, after numerous investigations and many cases of fatal accidents, he ordered precise rules for the construction of "save motorcyclists" guardrails and to which the Bodies must comply. We will therefore bring to the Municipalities through our elected representatives an interpellation-council in order to verify theExact use of these funds and the creation of containment barriers ".
