With Mi Note 10 Xiaomi drops the ace and raises the price. For 108 megapixels you need 599 euros

Xiaomi, maximum minimum yield. But not in this case, because after months of smartphone launches at a really irresistible price the new Mi Note 10 returns to have a little Xiaomi price. In fact, 599 euros are needed to bring it home, and if we think that the other top of the range cost twice as much we could also say that this smartphone is cheap for what it offers. The features are those of a top, even if someone could say that the processor chosen, a Snapdragon 730G, is not a top-of-the-range processor.

We are not at all in agreement, it is not the processor that makes a smartphone top of the range but the whole thing. If we look at the photographic part today the Mi Note 10 is unbeatable on paper. We talked about it yesterday: there is hardware, now it's up to Xiaomi to exploit it: 5 cameras, with the main 108-megapixel camera, are something that others do not currently have.

It is the photographic department that makes the Mi Note 10 a top, because if we take away the cameras, what remains is a modest product. The AMOLED screen, curved at the sides, is a 6.47 "full HD + with 600 nits of peak brightness and small front notch, there is no popup room, used on other models and absent here.

There are 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of USF 2.1 storage, NFC, audio jack and IR transmitter, there is a 30 watt fast charge that soon fills with energy what is perhaps the other interesting element of the smartphone, those 5260 mAh of battery. One choice, that of providing the Mi Note 10 with such a large battery, which on the one hand brings the autonomy to about 2 days and on the other the thickness at almost 1 cm, perhaps too much. The fast charger is included. The operating system will be, for the moment, Android 9 with MIUI 11 interface.

Mi Note 10 will arrive on November 15th at 599 in the main chains, at the operators TIM, Wind-Tre and Vodafone and in the Mi stores, as well as on the site: it will cost 599 euros, but those who have made the pre-order from 11 to 14 November will receive a 50 euro voucher to be used by 15 December in a Mi Store. Later on, Xiaomi will also make the Pro version available, 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage and a lens on the main sensor with a lens with an extra element, 8 elements instead of the 7 of the basic version. It should improve sharpness, but they are always so many megapixels for a tiny little lens anyway.

Xiaomi has always played everything on price, but now the price is "premium" and the bet is on photography: if the photographic department is at the top, the 599 euros requested are also few compared to what the market offers, but if the gap was not so wide, especially with a Mi9, some doubt could come.

Especially for a company that, from one moment to the next, could decide to launch another smartphone with an 855+, a popup camera and a 108-megapixel sensor. Because in Xiaomi, we know it well, we never sleep.
