Malpensa Terminal 2 was evacuated from 6.40 pm to around 7 pm on Wednesday due to a bomb alert. The security filters, on switching to X-rays, identified a "suspicious device" in one of the hand baggage and the "Leonardo Da Vinci" national security plan was triggered at 18.30. The plan provides for the closure of the airport, guaranteeing in any case the operation of flights.

From the first information, one of the passengers had in hand luggage a metal object with a suspicious shape: the man was then restrained and all the other travelers were removed from the area for about twenty minutes. The suitcase was taken over by the bomb squad of the Polaria. Sea says that there were no problems at the airport's operational level. On site several fire brigade units and support vehicles of 118.
