With the maneuver they arrive important tax changes. Also involved will be personal income tax deductions. In 2020, in fact, the 19% bonus, in the case of payments made with cash. However, the rule will not be valid for health costs.

Not only. In addition to being reserved for those who pay with cash machine or credit card, traceable tools, the benefits linked to the Irpef will come reduced for incomes above 120 thousand euros, while they will be reset in case of income equal to or greater than 240 thousand euros, all on an annual basis.

According to the last draft of the text of the maneuver, there will therefore be two interventions on income tax deductions: on the one hand, the possibility of deducting, in the tax return, only the expenses made with traceable payments, and on the other hand the remodulation of the deductions according to income.

Initially, the obligation to pay by debit or credit card affected all types of bonuses, including those related to health costs but, as reported also by Italy today, after the May summit, it was decided to leave the possibility to buy drugs or pay visits with cash. Due to the re-modulation of the deduction based on income, on the other hand, the interest expense on mortgage loans for the purchase or construction of the main house will remain outside. The income threshold is set at 120 thousand: from here the bonuses will begin to fade, to zero, once they reach 240 thousand euros. In doing so, people with this income will not be encouraged to use traceable payment methods.
