The return of Motorola Razr is reality

One of the most famous phones ever, 15 years from the first version, will arrive in Italy at the beginning of December at 1599 euros with a folding screen

Same shell opening, same border marked in the lower part and the same charm able to go beyond two decades and remain current. The new version of Motorola Razr it was made official in the night, putting an end to months of rumors and rumors for what can undoubtedly be defined as the most awaited leaflet of 2019.

Few surprises for a model of which almost everything was already known (a little as it had been for Pixel 4). And so here, as it seems, the most efficient and secure application for flexible screen technology, that simply folds in two on the horizontal axis combining perfectly with a design passed (guiltily) a little in the background, the so-called clamshell.

A conformation that however has the great merit of compacting the space from open to closed (from 72 x 172 x 6.9 mm to 72 x 94 x 14 mm) also lowering the weight compared to rivals (205 grams) and increasing the feeling of security in contrast to the inevitable feeling of fragility of the various Samsung Galaxy Folds and Huawei Mate X.

Motorola Razr focuses on a 6.2 "pOled screen with a 2142 x 876 pixel resolution and a 21: 9 widescreen format with a half fold. The outer shell fits one secondary display 2.7 ″ gOled 600 x 800 pixel service for notifications that can also be interactively taken, taking selfies, choosing files from the media player and for Google Assistant.

The hardware is not that of a top of the range, but a good one medium range thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chip with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal, single 16 megapixel main sensor camera (with f / 1.7 aperture) and 5 megapixel front. The operating system is still the old Android 9 Pie, while the 2510 mAh battery with 15-watt fast charge. No particular performance peaks, there is no not even 5g, for a model that inevitably focuses more on substance and appeal than performance.

Motorola Razr will be resistant to splashing water thanks to the protection provided by nano coating that covers the body and will be sold in a suggestive square and design package. In the USA it will be released exclusively with the local operator Verizon, while in Italy it will be seen from the next 4 December for a price of 1599 euros.
