New Skoda Octavia, here is the sketch of the interior

Of the new generation of the Skoda Octavia we already know a lot thanks to the official information published a few days ago by the Czech house itself. We know it will have petrol, diesel, hybrid and methane engines, which will offer more space and will be marketed both as a sedan and as a station wagon. What we need is to see it without camouflage both outside and inside. The passenger compartment is the protagonist of the new sketches published today, which reveal when we already suspected.

Double monitor

Just like on the Volkswagen Golf 8, which shares the MQB platform with the Skoda Octavia, much of the work has focused on the bridge, where the 2 10 "monitors, one for the instrumentation and the other for the infotainment system, positioned much higher than in the past. Graphics and functionality should resume what we saw on the new generation of the Wolfsburg compact, with 360 ° connectivity and the elimination of almost all physical buttons.

The air conditioner should be managed via a touch surface located under the central monitor, where others should also find space tactile controls to recall the main features of the system. The central tunnel, on the other hand, looks even more spacious, with the small selector for the automatic transmission that rises in the center.

Another big news will be the 2-spoke steering wheel, with 2 physical roller selectors on the sides to manage digital instrumentation. Then you notice the rear air vents, with the keys to manage temperature and air flow intensity, so as to have a three-zone air conditioner.

Longer and more comfortable

Grown in length up to touch 4.68 meters and in width for a total of 1.829 meters the new Skoda Octavia will offer more space to both occupants and luggage, with a load capacity of up to 600 liters on the sedan and 640 on the station wagon.

His debut in Italy is scheduled for March 2020 with prices yet to be defined.
