Electric to scream
How far can the electrics reach in terms of power and performance? Well, we don't know yet, but what is certain is that the numbers of this Owl are really scary: to push this hypercar there are 4 synchronous permanent magnet electric motors, which reach a total of 1,985 CV. To shoot from 0 to 100 km / h, the stopwatch stops in less than 2 seconds (with slick tires, it should still be evaluated with "road" tires), while the top speed is as much as 400 km / h.
Speaking of batteries, the Aspark Owl is powered by an 800-volt package with a capacity of 64 kWh, which it allows you to travel for about 450 km (according to the NEDC cycle). The fast recharge times, thanks to the 44 kW charger, are around 80 minutes and, in the meantime, the manufacturer has declared that is working to offer a battery with greater capacity.
Extreme to the end
To keep all these horses at bay, the technicians did not create a frame, but a true masterpiece: a car is hidden beneath the body carbon fiber monocoque and aesthetics has been revised both for homologation in most European countries and for improving aerodynamics. Now the aileron is integrated with the Owl lines and opens automatically above 150 km / h and closes below 100 km / h.
Even the interiors leave you speechless: Racing details are mixed with super technological accessories, like the two screens for infotainment management and the side ones to project the images of the rear-view cameras. Obviously there is no lack of electronic goodies such as traction control, stability and ABS to support the brakes with carbon-ceramic discs and 10-piston calipers.
Only for very few
The Aspark Owl will be produced in Italy, by Manifattura Automobili Torino, the same that builds the Apollo IE and the splendid Stratos F430. Only 50 units of the electric supercar will be produced, at a price of 2.9 million euros: prospective buyers invited to book the copy with a non-refundable deposit of 50,000 euros. The first deliveries are expected by April 2020. Meanwhile, Aspark's CEO, Masanori Yoshida, has stated that he intends to bring the Owl to the Nurburgring early next year to get the record absolute about the ride.
