AMBITIOUS OBJECTIVES – The Supervisory Board of the Volkswagen Group (which includes the automotive brands VW, Skoda, Seat, Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley and Bugatti) discussed and approved the new investment plan under the name Planning Round 68, a strategy that foresees the expenditure of 33 billion euros over the next five years for electric cars and another 27 billion for hybrids, autonomous driving, mobility services and digital ones. THE 60 billion allocated, according to what has been announced, they amount to about 40% of the group's research and development costs over the next 5 years. To these figures we need to add those for the Chinese market, which has now become the largest in the world, where the Volkswagen Group operates through two joint ventures with local producers. The latter will be announced later.

75 ELECTRICAL IN 10 YEARS – Investments of this type appear to be in line with the ambitious long-term strategies of the Volkswagen Group, which it estimates to launch 60 hybrid models is 75 electric by 2029: the target by this date is to sell 6 million hybrid cars and 26 million electric cars, 20 million of which on the MEB platform for small, compact and medium-sized models (it was brought to debut by the compact Volkswagen ID.3). The remaining 6 million will be built mainly on the PPE platform, reserved for large electric futures.
