VALMADRERA – After a week of research, the lifeless body of the 32-year-old who died on Moregallo was found.
The research, taken yesterday after three days of bad weather, allowed us to find the body of Matteo Sponza, 32 years old, a native of Trieste but resident of Lecco, a great mountain lover of whom, for over a week, traces had been lost.
Also this morning the searches had started again with a dozen teams engaged between Mountain Rescue, Financiers and Fire Brigade. Shortly after 10 o'clock the finding of the body unfortunately without life of the young man.
Matteo, who had been living in Lecco for some time, left on October 14th for an excursion to the Moregallo, but without returning. Massive aid mobilization that for days beat the area, from paths to the most inaccessible areas, with the help of helicopters and even drones.
The body of the young man was recovered and transported by helicopter to the Lecco station of the Alpine Rescue, the operational base from which the researches had also started this morning, where his relatives were waiting for him.
