Matteo Salvini – Gianluca Savoini

The interrogation addressed to Prime Minister Conte by two parliamentarians of the Democratic Party starts from the October 21 report on the Lega-Russia case. Senators Franco Mirabelli and Dario Parrini in their document recall how Matteo Salvini has always refused to answer on the matter. But, after what was brought to light by the investigation entitled "The Factory of Fear" the picture got worse. "The reconstruction done by Report of the relations woven by the League since Salvini became the Secretary shows the existence of a design aimed at the birth of an international axis between right-wing extremist forces, in which Salvini and the League often appear as pawns", reads in the document.

Hence the request to Conte to communicate "what urgent initiatives the Government intends to adopt in order to clarify as soon as possible the alarming facts reported above, which, beyond their possible penal implications, appear seriously damaging to the sovereignty of our country and such as to destabilize the roots and founding values of our democracy ".

Given that:

what was reported in the inquiry of the TV broadcast Report of 21 October, called "The factory of fear", reveals, in a disturbing way, as the well-known story of Russian funding to the Lega party for Salvini Premier, the subject of investigations by the Milan prosecutor for international corruption and an informative report by the President of the Council of Ministers, Conte, held in the Senate on 24 July, is part of a much more complex and dangerous plan;

the picture that emerges from Report's journalistic investigation shows how the increasingly numerous ties that the League has established over the years with right-wing extremists, both in Russia and in the United States, are part of an international project, fueled by a great deal of money, aimed at the clear goal of destabilizing Europe;

according to what was reported on 10 July by the online newspaper Buzzfeed and previously by the weekly "L'Espresso", the meeting, which took place on 18 October 2018 at the Metropol hotel in Moscow among people belonging to the League party, including Gianluca Savoini, and some people of Russian nationality, "would have had the explicit purpose of illicitly financing the League party for Salvini Premier and his electoral campaign for the Europeans";

the meeting had as its object the sale, through intermediaries, of 3 million tons of diesel fuel to Eni by an important Russian oil company. The value of the sale would have been around 1.5 billion dollars. From this transaction, 65 million dollars would have been withheld for the Lega;

since the then Minister of the Interior, Salvini, has always refused to respond to these facts in Parliament and has always denied ever having invited Savoini to Russia and having had contact with him on that occasion, on 24 July last, the President of the Council of Ministers, Conte, blatantly denied the Minister's statements regarding the fact that he did not know about the presence of Savoini in Moscow in October 2018 and also stated that "If we look at the dynamics of implementing the address of international politics, we have the proof that in terms of relations with the Russian Federation and with regard to all the related implications, our line has been consistent, reasonable and never unduly conditioned by perturbative factors that could lead to a deviation from our national interests. ";

the relationship between Salvini and Savoini goes back to the times when they both worked for the newspaper "La Padania". Interviewed by Report, Moncalvo, director of "La Padania" between 2002 and 2004, describes Savoini, involved in a scandal in 2002 due to the presence of photos and fascist and Nazi symbols in the editorial office of the newspaper, like the one who would have "formed" Salvini "as if it were a mass of clay";

as reported by the journalist, Giorgio Mottola, in the political formation of Savoini and in his close relationship with Russia there is Maurizio Murelli, one of the most important figures of the Milanese neo-fascism, sentenced to 11 years in prison for competition in the agent's murder of police Antonio Marino, who in 1984 founded "Orion", a cultural center referring to the extreme right-wing movements of that period, with neo-Nazi and pro-Soviet ideas, in whose positions – according to Murelli himself – he was "very recognized "And to whose exponents the League, which was being formed in those years, would have asked to participate in the activities of the party to give" a soul "to a" culturally weak "environment. The goal would have been, according to Claudio Gatti, author of the book "The demons of Salvini", to "extrapolate the essence of fascism and especially of Nazism and then be able to revitalize it" and pursue, therefore, a precise political strategy that has taken on Italian neo-fascists, as the vice president of Casapound admits, Di Stefano;

Savoini and Murelli have also had relations with Aleksandr Dugin, Russian philosopher and founder of the national Bolshevik party, supporter of the end of liberal democracy,

of the beginning of an integral populism and of an illiberal revolution, as he himself declares according to Report, which interviewed Salvini for Tsatgarad.tv, a broadcaster of a sovereignty that merges the Christian religion, fighting against the rights of homosexuals and defense of the borders;

the owner of Tsatgarad.tv is Konstantin Malofeev, known as the oligarch of God, a plutocrat very close to President Putin, financier of far-right parties in Europe and founder of a "Holy Alliance" between Russian ultra-traditionalist associations and the most powerful foundations of the American religious right. Malofeev, who was banned from entering the Schengen area and to whom all accounts at European banks were frozen, to the Report journalist's question as to why the Carroccio was chosen as "Italian bank", he replied " Because it is culturally weak and therefore easier to infiltrate / affiliate ”;

Malofeev himself, who told Report that Savoini would confirm that he had talked about oil at the Metropol Hotel in Moscow with some Russian lawyers, had close relations with Salvini after his election as Secretary of the League and his (then) spokesperson Gianluca Savoini who, having in fact founded the Lombardy-Russia Association, appointed Alexey Komov as his president, a man very close to Malofeev, who intervened on stage when Salvini was elected Secretary;

from 2013 to today Savoini and Salvini have often gone to Moscow to meet Malofeev, who would have continued to finance an ultra-conservative plan through a network of foundations that starts from Russia, with the S. Basilio il Grande foundation, and that goes from American foundations , like the National Christian Foundation, up to the World Congress of Families, an international anti-abortion organization opposed to homosexual unions, whose Vice President is the aforementioned Alexey Komov;

the reconstruction made by Report of the relations woven by the League since Salvini became the Secretary shows the existence of a design aimed at the birth of an international axis between right-wing extremist forces, in which Salvini and the League often appear as pawns;

we ask to know:

what urgent initiatives the Government intends to adopt in order to clarify as soon as possible the alarming facts reported above, which, beyond their possible criminal implications, appear to be seriously prejudicial to the sovereignty of our country and such as to destabilize the roots and founding values of the our democracy.
