The Ile-de-France grants 500 euros of premium to the purchase of an electric bike

Ile-de-France region validated yesterday Wednesday, October 9, the principle of a grant of 500 euros (without means test) for the purchase of a new electric bicycle. Voted by the Board of Directors of Ile-de-France Mobilités (authority organizing transport in the region), the aid is capped at 50% of the amount of the purchase of the bike duty free. This aid must begin to be allocated from 20 February 2020 for purchases made from 1 January.

The acquisition of a bicycle bought 900 euros (HT) will be subsidized up to 450 euros. If the price does not exceed 1000 euros, the maximum amount of the premium (500 euros) can be used by the buyer.

The bonus of 600 euros for an electric cargo bike

For the purchase of a power-assisted cargo bike, the regional premium rises to 600 euros.

Assistance from the region will also be combined with other grants proposed by municipalities or certain communities in the Île-de-France region. But this combination of the two aids will be capped at 500 euros. For example, the region will grant only 100 euros to a Parisian who benefits from the grant of 400 euros offered by the mayor of Paris.

The region will offer this aid in 2020 for all purchases made up to a total amount of € 12 million.

The allocation of this premium to Ile-de-France occurs one month after the launch of Véligo Rental, long-term rental of electric bike.
