In our region, electric cars must indeed emit noise below 20 km / h for the safety of pedestrians. Across the Atlantic, NHTSA, the federal agency responsible for road safety, is preparing to pass a law requiring automakers to integrate several sound alerts to choose hybrid and electric vehicles. Of course, the sounds proposed by the latter are not to the taste of Elon Musk. That's why he thought of offering more customization for his clients.
