Beijing denounced Wednesday "Sinister designs" of the United States, following Washington's visa restrictions against Chinese officials suspected of involvement in the repression in the predominantly Muslim Xinjiang region (north-west).
The attitude of the United States concerning the situation in Xinjiang "Will only further expose their sinister designs to the Chinese people and the international community"Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang told reporters.
