Swiss Fund Data sets up James Fund Bot Chat

Bot Chat will search for funds and use distributed intelligence to complete search results.

In a context of increasing digitization and automation of the financial industry, it is essential to continuously analyze the opportunities offered by new technologies and new means of communication and to invest in the development of the platform. This approach, which has always been part of the DNA of Swiss Fund Data, enables it to offer its many stakeholders advanced tools and quality data on funds and ETFs.

The "Advanced Search" feature currently available on the SFD website offers several hundred selection criteria, from the country of placement to the SRRI (Synthetic Risk and Reward Indicator).

The setting up of a Chat Bot in German and English aims to facilitate the search for products regardless of the device used and to display the corresponding results in a fun way via the classic chat function (communicating with the system only through to text entry fields).

The results may vary depending on the accuracy of the criteria entered by the user. A distinction is made between:

• the results are very numerous, given the small number of selected parameters (Fonds Actions + Suisse, for example). The system activates after the first search phase. It asks the user if he wants to restrict the results and offers him different search options.
• results that have already been limited by the user because of the multitude of search options used.

The search parameters Fund Provider, Investment Class, Investment Country, Investment Currency, Performance, TER and ISIN are used as a priority. Other parameters can be applied later.

The results of the search are systematically completed with the products consulted by the other users (distributed intelligence) having applied identical or similar parameters ("Investors are also looking for these Funds …").

Users of the platform www.swissfunddata.ch now have three new tools: Chat Bot, "Detailed Search" (formerly Advanced Search) and "Quick Search" (formerly Simple Search) to search for desired funds.
