Mourning health: Roberto Fagnano died of a heart attack

To find him unconscious and to call for help had been the cleaning lady of his apartment in Teramo in Piazza Sant’Anna. Fagnano was urgently hospitalized in the hemodynamics department, where unfortunately every attempt to revive him was in vain. The manager had no particular health problems. Last night he had a business dinner in L'Aquila and then left for Teramo around 10 pm, before the closure of the Gran Sasso tunnel for maintenance. Originally from Campobasso, where his wife and children live, lawyer, Fagnano had been the first manager appointed by the Giunta D'Alfonso in 2014. Everyone appreciated him for his competence and humanity, he had been promoted in recent months by the Marsilio council as general manager of Health Department of the Abruzzo Region. Regional councilors Nicoletta Verì and Piero Fioretti arrived at the bedside of Fagnano, who then held a press conference to formalize the death, along with the acting director general, Maurizio Di Giosia, the health director, Maria Mattucci, the mayor of Teramo, Gianguido D'Alberto, and the director of the cardiology department, Cosimo Napoletano.
