Rob Lawless has a mission: to travel the United States, meet 10,000 new friends, and document his journey on social media.
His project, "Rob's 10K Friends", encourages him to meet strangers to learn more about them. He sits with them for an hour and improvises his questions as and when. Then, he publishes a summary of his meeting on Instagram, and passes to the next person.
"All we do is share a good time. There is no pressure, and I think it puts people at ease, "says Rob Lawless at CNN.
