A full-fledged sports suicide that was the protagonist of the Ferrari in the GP of Mexico. Despite the conquest of the first row (thank you Verstappen for the gift), the Red she failed to administer the race and was fooled by the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton, ever closer to winning its sixth world title.

As he writes Giorgio Terruzzi on the Corriere della Sera, Ferrari has completely spoiled the race, especially at the strategic level, because Leclerc, who had won pole position in qualifying, found himself out of the podium due to questionable choices from the wall and Vettel it was even slowed down by two cars doubled in a row at the decisive moment of the race. Furthermore, the choice of tires was unsuccessful and the pit stop problems (Leclerc made two stops and, in one of them, had a problem with the tire fixing that kept him in the pits for 6 seconds) allowed the Mercedes to earn ground (Bottas he managed to take third place despite starting from sixth position and the incident he had during qualifying).

In other words: for Terruzzi, Mercedes has that extra something that Ferrari doesn't have, especially in the management of the race from the strategic point of view, because the car at least compared to the beginning of the season is there, but in the race there are still too many "human" mistakes committed by the Maranello team: "Nothing comparable with the first part of the World. But it's difficult for a weekend to close without a hitch, either because of errors of the driver, of various problems, of complications in the pits ".
