Milan, defense priority: but for Todibo it is complicated

MILAN – A central defender. This is Milan's priority goal (in the end it could also be the only one) for the January market, in parallel with the increasingly complicated negotiation for Ibrahimovic. With each passing day, the probability of a return of the Swedish decreases: on the one hand, the period of competitive break lengthens, on the other, the time for group training is shortened with the possible new companions to be better found for the recovery of the championship after the Christmas break.

But if Ibrahimovic does not arrive, it is not obvious that Milan will try to take another striker. Just as it is not sure that reinforcements are planned in midfield. The budget available to the Rossoneri market men is very limited. And the first requirement is to allocate it to the purchase of a new central defender to reinforce a field sector where at the moment Pioli has only two securities: Romagnoli and Musacchio. Duarte is injured, Caldara has yet to find the field in Serie A and the young Matteo Gabbia has not yet made the official break-in in the first team. Hardly, according to the latest rumors, this new central defender will be Todibo. It seems that Milan and Barcelona struggle to find an agreement. The Demiral slope is even more complicated. Easier to think that Milan is oriented towards a central defender expiring in June 2020, therefore difficult for the club to belong to.
