Enrico Braggiotti is dead. The ninety-six-year-old banker was president of the Comit and in the nineties of the Compagnie Monegasque del Banque. Braggiotti was the father of business banker Gerardo.
Braggiotti was born in Turkey in 1923, by Stefano Braggiotti, then director of the Ottoman Bank and descendant of an ancient Venetian family who moved to the Ottoman Empire.
A few weeks after birth, the Braggiotti family left Turkey and settled in the Principality of Monaco.
His career is characterized by the path in the Banca Commerciale Italiana: in 1950 he is in Casablanca, five years later he returns to Italy where he positions all his positions over the years, becoming its managing director in 1984 and president in 1988.
In 1990, Enrico Braggiotti leaves the presidency of Banca Commerciale Italiana and retires in the Principality of Monaco. Here he becomes president of the Compagnie Monegasque de Banque.
In 2004, the Monegasque shareholder group of the Compagnie Monegasque de Banque decided to sell its stake in Mediobanca. In 2006, Enrico Braggiotti leaves the presidency.
