A prototype derived from the Bugatti Chiron broke a world record by rolling for the first time at more than 300 miles per hour (mph)
With this performance, Bugatti becomes the first car manufacturer to exceed 300 miles per hour. On a test track in Germany, a prototype close to a series derivative of the Chiron has crossed this magical border with a speed of 304.773 mph (490.484 km / h). A world record.
"What a record! We are euphoric to be the first manufacturer to reach speeds above 300 miles per hour. A turning point that will mark history forever. I thank the entire team and driver Andy Wallace for this outstanding performance, "said Stephan Winkelmann, brand president based in Molsheim.
