The French cyclist Geoffrey Bouchard (AG2R La Mondiale) snatches the jersey of the mountain of the Vuelta a Espaa 2019 to the Spanish angel Madrazo (Burgos-BH), who tried to prevent it but could not avoid giving the shirt with blue dots.
Both Madrazo and Bouchard got into the escape of the day, very large, of about 20 runners, and fought for a classification that led the quarter since the second day of the race.
Madrazo started the stage with two points of advantage (32-30) and, although he was second in the two highs prior to the final climb, San Lorenzo and La Cobertoria, he gave in to an opponent who came forward in those two ascents and came tenth to the goal of Alto de la Cubilla.
Now Bouchard is the leader of the mountain, with 50 points and six of advantage over Madrazo, who has left the mountains of Madrid and vila to try to reverse the situation.
