Sebastian Vettel admitted he did not have the pace needed to win today at Spa.

He stopped earlier than his teammate, certainly too early, but his bet did not work: it was impossible for him to hold the mediums long enough.

Then the German played the game of the Ferrari team by letting Leclerc for the win and retaining the maximum Lewis Hamilton behind him. And this has certainly allowed the Monegasque to win today when we see the gap on arrival.

"I'm happy for the team, yes, but I'm not happy for myself, I did not have the pace I needed in the end," admits Vettel.

"I was struggling to stay at the best pace with my tires, which is not normally a problem."

"But it became a tough race, and from a certain point it was clear that we would not be in the fight, all I could do was serve the team."

"I was having trouble cornering and that allowed Lewis to get closer, I could not hold him back for a very long time, I was trying to make him waste time for it to serve Charles and in the end, it was was just enough for us to win. "
