Basically, as the headline will have implied, it is the replacement of the 488 Spider, in a lineage, within Maranello, in which fun and performance are mixed in equal parts.

The rigid folding roof, called RHT, hardly needs 14 seconds to unfold or be stored, being able to carry out the operation in progress, up to speeds that do not exceed 45 km / h.
Compared to the model it replaces, the Ferrari F8 Spider is 20 kilos lighter and only weighs 20 kilograms more than the effective 488 Spider Track. Outstanding data, to which we must add a body that has improved aerodynamics by 10%.
Called to rival the McLaren 720S Spider, the F8 Spider uses the same V8 engine as the closed model, a 3.9 with two turbos, which delivers 720 horsepower and 770 Nm of torque, matching the performance of the special edition 488 Track.
With 50 hp and 10 Nm more than the model it replaces, it is logical that the benefits are of another dimension: it reaches 340 km / h maximum speed, compared to 325 of the 488 Spider, and accelerates from 0 to 100 in 2, 9 seconds, which is one tenth less than its predecessor. Similarly, it only takes 8.2 seconds to reach 200 km / h from standstill.
Of course, it seems that it will not be the only Ferrari convertible that we will see in the coming days, since, as they comment from the edition of Motor1.com in the United States, the 812 Superfast will also 'lose' the roof in the coming weeks.
